A Buyer’s Guide to Shower Glass

So many choices!

Here are some things to consider when choosing the glass for a new shower door or an entire shower enclosure. It is, after all, one of the things you'll be seeing up close and personal almost every day!

Consider the space

Take a look at the space where your shower door will go.  Is it narrow and tall? A pivoting shower door (with or without a track) is the right choice. Will your shower door cover a bathtub? Pick the standard width sliding tub door.  As a general rule, stationary shower glass panels are made out of ½ inch glass. However, for a door that opens and closes, it's best to use a lighter 3/8-inch glass.

Pick Your Shower Glass

For maximum privacy choose a glass with a pattern or texture. If the natural light from a nearby window is something you enjoy, clear glass is a classic choice.

Finish Strong

With a wide selection of colors your shower door’s hardware and track can match the finishes you already have.
